Salwey Baden Oberrotweil Weissbuunder

This weissburgunder oberrotweil opens with lifted aromas of green apple, pear, white peach and subtle citrus blossom, underpinned by a distinctive mineral backbone typical of Baden’s volcanic soils. The salwey weissburgunder 2020 delivers a clean, focused palate with flavours of stone fruit, lemon zest and a hint of almond, balanced by crisp acidity and a refined, dry finish.

Compared to richer styles, this german weissburgunder australia release prioritises precision over weight, making it highly versatile across a range of culinary applications. It pairs exceptionally well with seafood, grilled chicken, fresh salads and creamy risottos, making it a strong performer in both casual and fine dining contexts.

The 2020 vintage shows excellent freshness and immediate drinkability, while maintaining enough structure for short-term cellaring. This baden pinot blanc is a smart addition for buyers seeking reliable, high-quality European whites with consistent performance and strong food compatibility.

The Salwey winery stands for great Burgundy wines from the Kaiserstuhl. The Mediterranean climate, the volcanic rock and the loess soil allow highly aromatic and finely mineral wines to be produced here. The Oberrotweiler Pinot Blanc RS confirms this with its intense aroma. The ageing in large wooden barrels also gives it complexity and a pleasant creaminess. Juicy and fresh!
