Schneider Baden Kirchberg Isteiner Spatburgunder — Single Vineyard Prestige from Baden

The Schneider Baden Kirchberg Isteiner Spatburgunder 2020 is a single-vineyard German Pinot Noir of exceptional character, sourced from the prestigious Kirchberg site in Istein — one of Baden's most revered wine-growing localities. This half case of 6 bottles represents Schneider's commitment to terroir-driven winemaking: precise, concentrated, and built to age with distinction.

Terroir & Vineyard — What Makes Schneider Baden Kirchberg Isteiner Spatburgunder Special

The Schneider Baden Kirchberg Isteiner Spatburgunder draws its character from Kirchberg's limestone and loess-clay subsoil in Istein, imparting a firm mineral backbone and notable structural depth. Baden's warm continental climate — tempered by cooling air from the nearby Black Forest and Rhine Valley — creates ideal conditions for slow, even ripening. The result is a Spatburgunder of remarkable concentration and finesse, with genuine site-specific character that sets it apart from regional blends.

Vintage 2020 — Why the Schneider Baden Kirchberg Isteiner Spatburgunder Stands Out

The 2020 vintage in Baden was warm and dry, producing ripe, concentrated fruit with excellent natural structure and tannin ripeness. For the Schneider Baden Kirchberg Isteiner Spatburgunder 2020, this translates to a wine of greater body and depth than cooler vintages — generous yet disciplined, with impressive ageing potential. Collectors acquiring this half case of 6 are securing a wine at the very beginning of its peak drinking arc.
